The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Road Race and the National Games Road Cycling Test Race were successfu

On November 24, 2024, the 2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Road Cycling Competition and the 15th National Games Road Cycling Test Competition were successfully held in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

This competition was a men's individual event. A total of 67 professional athletes from 22 representative teams from the mainland, Hong Kong and Macao and 1 individual representative team competed on the field. This competition crossed Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. The entire track was 230 kilometers long, with 160.7 kilometers in Zhuhai (among them, 60.6 kilometers for the round trip of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge section and 45.2 kilometers in Hengqin section), 55.8 kilometers in Hong Kong and 13.5 kilometers in Macao.

As the first competition that crossed and integrated Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao across the country, this event was the first to use Hong Kong, Macao and Guangdong simultaneously as the competition arena, and also achieved live broadcasts throughout Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao and joint broadcasts in the air and on the ground.

The successful holding of this event is bound to further deepen the integration of sports exchanges in the Greater Bay Area, and build a Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao sports event brand that spans the three places. Zhuhai, as the only city connected to Hong Kong and Macao by land bridge, continues to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao in culture, tourism and sports, gradually builds an exchange matrix of cultural and sports brand activities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promotes the integration of Hong Kong and Macao into the overall development of the country, and contributes to the deep integration of the Greater Bay Area.
